There's a new pet store up the street, so I went to check it out and grab the boys some food. First off, the place is giant. I was surprised when I walked in. Second, it's different than most of the large chain retail places, because it has the feel of the mall type stores, but with the size of the super stores.

I gawked for a bit and then went to find the cat food. Before I found it I saw at least six different types of hamsters. What the hell is a blueberry hamster? Thankfully they were all safe behind their little glass walls. Toward the middle of the place they had hermit crab raceway - or that's what it looked like. Next to that was bunny and g. pig world. Beyond that lay the land of cat food, treats, and accessories. I wasn't too impressed with the prices, but I got what I need and followed the sound of barking dogs. Going back toward Bunnie world I find the hall of aminals. First up were two orange kitties and their tortie sibling. I played as much as one can with them when there is a glass wall between you and the animal and walked down the hall. There were some miserable looking persians in one of the lower windows, numerous varieties of pugs, an adorable daschund, a tiny pup or two, and one of my other favorites - a minature pincher - with his ears uncut. Dear gods, how adorable, a tiny pincher with floppy years?! I could have stuffed him in my pocket, but damn it all, the daschund with the soulful eyes was todays winner of "oh damn, I want to take it home" award. I pried myself away from the glass and payed for my cat food.

The walk home was mildly murderous. Half mile there, half mile back, but that half mile back nearly kicked my ass. I got home to be nearly bowled over by my boys, "Kitty Food!" After they got their fill they proceeded to stampede around the house, chorusing meows as soon as they got of out my sight, which turned into yowls if I didn't anwer them fast enough. Robin then went upstairs, retreived his second favorite toy - a green puff ball - and raced down the stairs, yowling muffled meows at through his puff, I nearly fell over laughing.

The house is coming along, even though I keep changing my mind about the set up of certain small pieces of furniture and stuff. I figure as long as they are small, they are easy to move - no problems then. I'm sure I'll figure it out, or I'll just do what I did back at my aunt's house, swich things to suit myself as I need to.

Despite the fact that we are living behind a chinese place, we are not bleeding soy sauce yet. We've been cooking some tasty frozen meal things that come in a bag for two and I've really been enjoying them.

Gonna go now. Peace.
