Mar. 1st, 2006 05:31 pmMore winter weather tomorrow. No matter what happens, it's just going to be miserable. Probably not enough snow to shake a stick at, but ice, ice, and more ice.
We got the new carpet today. Talked a lot with one of the two guys. He does freelance stuff, so I asked for his number and figure when we eventually get around to getting a house, I'm going to call this guy. He's a perfectionist and says stuff as he sees it. His work is good and he's friendly - so we'll see what happens. Our living room is clean and the cats have been running around with all the room.
Now both kitties are on the bed with me, being cute. They're both so lovey and wonderful "babies".
Now to get the rest of the apartment into shape. Efrain told me I need to make it look more like I live here. That's kind of strange to me, 'cause I have lived here for the past three years. Guess I got to put more of me into my living space. That means that I bought a slip cover for the small couch, washed the two brown throw blankets, and got the strangest clearance shower curtain - duckies, turtles, and frogs. It rocks.
I'm just going to slowly put touches here and there. I don't want to go too crazy, but the weird thing is, I don't really know what says me anymore. Once upon a time, I would have jumped out and screamed what it was, but now I'm a lot more layed back, and frankly, I know I can't decorate the living room in pinstripes and plaid. I'd have to find a new place to live. Hmmm, maybe plaid and denim would work.
