The war on terror - the terror of reality
Aug. 10th, 2006 03:23 pmSo, unless you live under a rock, you've heard about the arrests and so on made in London. Even better you know that everyone in the states is facing long lines and being told they can't take anything from water to lip balm on planes.
You would think that with all the advances we've made, we could figure this all out without a four hour wait in line to get to a plane.
Does this make me worry more about terrorist. No, not really. It just makes my hatred for the airport and security deeper.
All in all, people are stupid. Honestly, at this moment, I don't believe who agrees with me or not. This is my opinion. Because of looking out for their own goddamned personal motives, they fuck up the daily lives of millions of people. Yes, they caught those people, terrific, here's a cookie. Now can we get back to our regularly scheduled lives?
So I can't get on a flight with any type of liquid in my carry on bag, and knowing how stupid they can be at bag check, it's better not to put anything that could possibly ruin my checked items in with them. So I get to spend more money on essential items at my destination rather than having the convience of bringing them from home. Thanks a fucking lot, terrorist.
Oh, and they're thinking of banning battery powered items too, for fear of it causing a spark and then an explosion. I hope that this means that inflight entertainment will progress in quality or people will at least turn a blind eye to sex on planes. If I've got a seven hour flight to somewhere I better sure as hell have something entertaining to do.
It doesn't matter who's calling the shots, someone overreacts and all hell breaks loose. Someone's always to blame and it's usually not the guy who did it. When the do find the guy who did it, the rest of us pay. Terrific. I get to pay for some other jack's asses decisions. Yeah, all for one and fuck you up the ass while we're at it.
