Thursday Joshie came over before making the treck up to the great white north on Friday. He comes in and we go out to dinner and grab gift cards. We then come back and E is finally home, so Joshie gives us our gifts. He got E the rest of the Transmet graphic novels. I got a book that I wanted and... the thing that he teased me about. He told me that it was something that I said I had wanted, but he had added a personal touch to it to make it special. I'll be honest that I was a bit nervous, 'cause I've pointed out a bunch of things to him, including giggling over things on adult sites. My mind ran ahead of me and decided all kinds of strange thing. But Joshie surprised me sooo much. It was a jewelry box and made me nervous. Inside was a tiny medicine type pouch, with magnetic hematite beads and red accents. I then feel the tiny bag as an after thought, and find a complete set of tiny gaming dice in hematite. I'm so glad that I have loved ones that understand the beauty of such a silly, useful, and sentimental gift.

So yesterday we wake up before noon and manage to fall back asleep again - until 3pm. We are lazy.

We then went to Whole Foods, to grab extra little things to eat during the evening. We then stop by Hollywood Video and select movies for the evening.
The Skeleton Key, The Exorsist of Emily Roseand Madagascar.

The Skeleton Key was pretty good. Kind of surprising, a bit strange, and a little unsettling with the ending. All in all, I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

We then went out Christmas light hunting. There are a couple of really good neighborhoods nearby. Got to love the big houses with the giant foyers. Too bad most of them have postage stamp-sized land.

We came back, E had a headache and fell asleep for a bit. We then decided to watch Madagascar to make up the time until midnight. It was a great movie - more so for the lemurs than anything else. But I discovered something because of it. Fossas. Oh, they are beautiful animals. Looks like the mix of a cat and a dog and is actually a part of the weasel family.

E gave me a Nintendo DS - getting me back for last years guitar. I have Mario Cart and Nintendogs. He knows how much I've been squealing over that game and has been teasing me right along. I think that part of the reason for getting it is to hear me "awww" over the puppies. He's so silly. My life is going to end. I haven't played enough to actually get a dog, but damn, they are squeal worthy. I'm torn between the pug, the husky, or the beagel. They are all too cute.

My family surprised us this year. Got E some things that he can actually use. We both got shirts and candy and the sort. My aunt Connie sent us travel mugs for coffee!! She always unknowingly gets me something I really want or need. It's kind of scary.

So now we work to cook the turkey and just go from there. It's been a good day. Hope everyone else is having a rested day, with good food, and some fun. Take some time and think about the good things in life. Life's too short to worry too much and let the negative consume us. I wish you and your's a wonderful day.
